ReplyDeletedid it for me. THANK YOU!
after using method 2,i had ''Please insert a disk into drive G:'' this problem, any solution?
ReplyDeleteIt Comes the drive is write protected while i am formatting with HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.1.8
ReplyDeleteI think that the drive lacks the basic partition in it. It is functional though the partitions are not there so all that it needs is to be partitioned.
ReplyDeleteGO and google EaseUS Partition Master 9.1 and download it. Then install it to your computer and create the basic partition for the flash disk using the partition format of wwither FAT or FAT32.
VIOLA all is done.
To all the linux users do install gparted and the installation commands are offered below
Debian gparted
sudo apt-get install gparted
Fedora gparted
su -c "yum install gparted"
Ubuntu Download for Ubuntu button
sudo apt-get install gparted
I hope that it will help someone.
Thank you
Due to some physical damages some pen drives will not be able to format.
ReplyDeleteit gives me this error
ReplyDelete"there is no media in the specified device"
I tried cmd
I tried disk management (it doesn't show there)
I tried everything..I can't format or open it
they ask me to format and wont format it
Method 3 works !! thanks
ReplyDeleteTried the EaseUS, doesn't work either. Stays unallocated. Gives an error message with some spelling errors:
ReplyDelete"There are some error occured while writing partition chains on disk."
it said
ReplyDelete"Device media is write-protected"
how to fix it?
1. Open Start Menu -> Run, type regedit and press Enter
ReplyDelete2. Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
Note: If the registry key StorageDevicePolicies key does not exist, you will need to create it
3. Double click the key WriteProtect in the right pane and set the value to 0 in the Value Data Box and press OK button .
4. Exit Registry, restart your computer and then again re-connect your USB pen drive on your computer. That is it, done.
Thanks a lot God bless you all
ReplyDeletesir..
ReplyDeletemy usb showing file system type = raw..
and while formating it shows file system = exfat?
and suggest something wht to do
A RAW filesystem simply means that it is a filesystem that is not recognized by Windows. Therefore all the available filesystem drivers are unable to mount the filesystem as a drive. This often happens when the records determining the filesystem type or location on the disk are damaged or corrupted, usually the partition table or the boot sector.
ReplyDeleteSince Windows sees no filesystem in the partition, it prompts you to format it in order to create a filesystem on it. DO NOT FORMAT IT.
The most common cause of external hard drives suddenly becoming RAW drives is if they are disconnected from a computer without using the “Safely Remove Hardware” option. This can happen in many ways such as a power failure, unplugging the drive from the USB port or from its AC adapter, a problem with the computer that causes it to temporarily disconnect the USB hubs and many more circumstances can lead to this occurring
iCare Data Recovery software can help you recover files from raw file system .
