GMDesk is an Adobe AIR application that provides quick access to Google services in a standalone window separate from your browser.There is no need to open it up in a web
browser, or have it clutter your workspace with others.It lets you run Google services like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Maps and Picasa Web Albums as a standalone application.
The advantage of using GMDesk is that you don't have to open your web browser, load the website of each one of those services, login with your username and password and then wait for it to load.GMD doesn’t change or add to the features of these applications or not faster than your browser, but it makes the whole process just easier.
It offers an easy menu as well as keyboard shortcuts to switch between different Google services, and you can specify what default service you want the application to start with.
